Gallery Scheffel GmbH Website development redesign / relaunch

Galerie Scheffel Website

/Customer

Galerie Scheffel brings to Bad Homburg the great artists of our time. For more than 30 years it has been showing paintings, drawings, sculptures and installations. The artists include Magdalena Abakanowicz, Louise Bourgeois, Nigel Hall, Max Kaminski and Markus Lüpertz, as well as David Nash, Jaume Plensa and Bernar Venet, to name but a few.

In addition to the small Galerie Scheffel website, we also maintain the website of the open air exhibition "Blickachsen", which is organized by the gallery and the city of Bad Homburg.

It got its name from the landscape-architectural historical Blickachsen of Bad Homburg's Kurpark. Every two years, Christian Scheffel carefully displays large sculptures by important sculptors as well as young talents. The open-air exhibitions have long been represented in the Schlosspark and have meanwhile been extended to the Rhine-Main region.

/Course

The relaunch of the website Galerie Scheffel did not only imply the porting of the website Bildachsen. Thereby the website with all data was transferred from a custom CMS to TYPO3, but the design remained the same, only minimal adjustments were to be made. At the same time, the new Bildachsen presentation was incorporated into the new system. The client's employees also had to attend a training course on how to use the CMS TYPO3 and special features of the website conversion.

/Clarity

The migration of large amounts of data was the biggest task here. In addition, it was a matter of creating import scripts for the migration.
